Dear Coaches,

Valdosta High School Debate & Speech Team cordially invites you to our annual debate tournament, the 2016 Valdosta High School Wildcat Classic Debate and Forensics Tournament at Valdosta High School. The competition will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

We will be offering:   Big Questions Debate ($10/entry) - a great event to bring students who are not necessarily speech and debate students already.  Go to the event page to find out more about the event and links to the NSDA.

Please note:

Ø  We will be awarding first and second place sweepstakes winners, team and speaker awards in all debate divisions and at least the first three places in each individual event. 

Ø  The school’s wireless internet system will have open access in all classrooms.

Ø  Hired judges are in short supply.  You must specifically request hired judges and we will try to fulfill your requests.  Please plan to provide as many judges as you can to fulfill your team’s commitment. 

Ø  Please follow the Georgia Forensic coaches Association rules regarding novice division debaters.

Ø  Public Forum and Lincoln Douglas debate will be using the September/October topics

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 5:00 pm. Full fees will be charged for any students removed from the tournament after this date.
